REWORKED -A Living Denim Studio LFW

During London Fashion Week, Ariike Studio opens its working studio for ONE intimate, studio-led participatory session exploring denim, wear and material intelligence.

Participants are invited to bring one denim or cotton garment they are willing to transform. Working with Ariike Studio’s archive of used denim, deadstock and offcuts, the day explores how wear, stress points and material behaviour inform design decisions.

This is not a traditional workshop or sewing class. It is a living studio experience centred on observation, thinking and careful intervention — learning how to listen to fabric before changing it.

The day runs as a complete session, guided by Ariike Studio, and concludes with a collaborative showing where participants share their reworked pieces and reflect on process, choice and outcome.

No prior sewing or design experience is required.

What is included: 

Studio-led participatory experience.  Guided material listening, design thinking and rework sessions. This is a participatory studio experience, not a finished-garment class

What to bring:

One denim or cotton garment you are willing to rework. Tea and light refreshments will be provided.

Optional Extras?

A limited number of Studio Patch Packs (£5) will be available, containing a selection of denim offcuts used in Ariike Studio’s rework practice. The packs offer additional material for patching and repair but are not required to take part.

Accessibility & Inclusivity

Ariike Studio aims to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants. No prior sewing or design experience is required, and all guidance is offered at a gentle, supportive pace. The studio is a working environment with seating, tables and regular breaks provided throughout the day.
